12th INTERNACIONAL SIMPOSIUM CONSERVATION OF WORLD HERITAGE


19 - 22 September 2012
Cáceres - Extremadura (Spain)



OBJECTIVES
Erdély Foundation European Institute for Research, Development and Innovation in Environmental Sciences, jointly with the Department of Public Administration of the Government of Extremadura, and OUI-IOHE-CAMPUS (Inter-American Organization for Higher Education), as part of their training environment, it continues with the development of the International Symposia. The XII International Symposium discussions focus on the Conservation of World Heritage.

METHODOLOGY OF THE SYMPOSIUM


Conferences of the four sessions will be brief, with open discussion and written questions of participants. On a working document that will be available for participants on the website, members of the Working Groups, coordinated by a representative, will share their experiences and contributions in legal, technical, social and economic, to achieve consensus on proposals or recommendations. The callers will present their paper in plenary.

SCHOLARSHIPS
To facilitate the participation of technicians and researchers, the Erdély Foundation offers a limited number of scholarships for the XII Symposium and Short Course for a value of 450 €. The grants also includes free transportation from and to Madrid (exit 18 September, returning Sept. 22), cultural activities, coffee breaks, books, documentation, two certificates, and cultural visit ! to the Monfragüe National Park. 
Candidates will be booking accommodation directly at the Hotel Parque Monfragüe (with a very low cost)  type of room (single or shared), following directions (see website ). 
Those interested in participating opting for Scholarship should apply directly to the Foundation Erdély: ambiental@madrid.com, send a brief CV, and undertake to provide an abstract to plenary.


SENDING COMMUNICATIONS
Those wishing to present Communication should formalize their prior registration on the website and sent to the Symposium Secretariat by Monday 14 September 2012, a summary of it in no more than one page. Communications will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee which is governed by the rules and criteria for selecting them. Be notified in advance to the selected day and time for exposure in the Whole. The full text of the communications must be made individually.
